The Scarlet Pimpernel.

During my summer holidays before we started school My Mum found me The Scarlet Pimpernel to read which I had been wanting to read for a fair while and for the next few days I read it until I finished it.
I LOVE Sir Percy!
My reaction was that I loved it!! Seriously! I LOVED IT!! It was totally awesome, Sir Percy was awesome, the story-line was awesome and the Scarlet Pimpernel's disguises in the book? Awesome! :D. Everything about the book was sort of like wow! I actually found Marguerite quite annoying in the book sometimes. I mean she couldn't just go and tell Percy what she'd done now could she? No, gr, stupid. I think she really got on my nerves when she is travelling by herself. Her stupid brother! It was all his fault Percy had so much trouble.

Oh, yeah, you'll probably need to watch the movie or read the book if you have any idea of what I'm talking about. :P Because I'm not going to tell you!
There are probably only a few objectionable things in the movie: low cut gowns, guillotine, and her stupid brother going into a bed with someone. See why I call him stupid? No, actually, I'll think I'll call him an idiot.
It was quite funny in the movie when Percy would walk in and when Chavelin was there comment on his cravat. Here's one of the times in the movie when he says this:

Percy: Odd's fish, m'dear fellow. Such sorry workmanship would not be tolerated in London for one tiny instant! Look you here, sir, at this limp cravat. I ask you! Or the sorry cut of this sleeve. No, no, no! Or the sad state of those cuffs! Sink me, I can hardly bring m'self to look upon them. No, no, no, sir, if this is the best your tailors can do, 'twould serve you better to send them to the gullotine.
Chauvelin: We shall send our king instead, sir, and exalt our tailors.
Percy: More's the pity. Then your tailors will rule the land, and no one will make the clothes. So much for French fashion...and French politics. What is it you Frenchies say? "Touche"? You see, I'm a bit of a poet, and you did not know it!

It was very interesting to see Ian Mckllenen as something besides Gandalf and before the Lord of the Rings. Sire Percy's rhyme is through all the movie and I must say, I really like it.  The end for the movie was actually different from the book which I was a little surprised and though I was a little disappointed at first, I think that although the movie didn't have the same ending it was brilliant anyway.  I liked all the disguises in the movie and it was funny when Percy gets out his snuff box when he's dressed up as the old woman.
The next day after having watched the movie I looked up the other TV show of the Scarlet Pimpernel and I was looking at the actor of Sir Percy and I said "That's not Percy!" I asked my sister Eden and she agreed. Sir Percy had a bit of an annoying voice but you got used to it and it was quite nice that he had the same sort of talk as he does in the book . I think that the book was probably both a guys and girls book but that it follows Marguerite who can get a bit boring sometimes.

Indeed I am ;)

I liked Marguerite in the movie but before I watched it I was rather afraid that they might ruin the whole movie and I wasn't quite enthusiastic to see who they had gotten for Marguerite. She did the job quite well and I wasn't disappointed with it.
I love this dress.

It was a highly enjoyable movie and both my Mum and my Dad liked it as well.
God Bless
