A Disney Birthday party.............

I'm not quite sure how to start this post.
I remember I was going to post this ages back, but then I got distracted and I needed permission to share some of the photos and you know, one thing led to another. So anyway enough rambling and on with the post! :D The Disney birthday party which Eden, Saxon and I attended was our very good friend Mabel's 16th birthday party. I remember her telling me at Homeschool group that us three were invited to it. I am so glad that she did because it was so much fun! The dress code was Disney fancy dress. Come as any character made by Disney.

For ages (as you've probably heard) I wanted to come as the cartoon Maid Marian. But the idea of finding a costume exactly like hers was not easy. I was also glad because someone else who I didn't know came dressed as the cartoon Robin Hood. :)

 The day was fun. We played quite a few games. One of them was celebrity heads. Disney themed so that meant that you got popular Disney characters. Mine was Mickey Mouse. :) Tantor was also in our group. :) We split up into four teams. Mabel and I were on the same one. Sadly ours came second and we didn't get the chocolate prize. :( The wii was hooked up to a T.V. and you could play Disney Just-Dance on it. I tried doing 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' with Mabel's youngest sister but sadly I stepped on my gun and broke it. :(
We played 'How well do you know Mabel?' Which was basically a quiz with 30 questions on it. I teamed up with one of Mabel's friends who she had know for years and who I"d been looking forward to meeting. We won! :D I was rather proud that we did. :) We had pin the tail on Eeyore. I went pretty good with it but didn't win. :(
I actually can't remember what other games there were. There was a nice bit of mingling and te party food was very nice, too.

I suppose you're all wondering about the costumes, I mean after all I've talked about them before but never posted any pictures of them except Saxon's. Well here they are. I had permission to show you Mabel and her family's costumes, too. :)

Here is Eden as Esmeralda from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. She got one of the runner-up prizes for her costume. She definitely deserved it! I mean she was stressing about it the night before and only finished it late the night before. She was originally going to come as Alice in Wonderland but changed her mind. Honestly her costume is awesome! I'm so proud of her! :D

This is Mabel's older sister. She had been planning her costume ahead of time for months. She came as Barbie from Toy Story 3. She even painted the heels pink. :) Oh, and that's a wig if you are wondering. :P

This is Mabel's younger brother. He came as Marty from Pirates of the Caribbean. There was actually quite a few people who came as people from POTC. We had Elizabeth, Angelica, and a random pirate from POTC 4. 

This is me. Finally you can see my outfit! I'm Peggy Carter from Captain America!  As you can see, my gun is broken as I'm not holding it in the photo. I wish I'd gotten a couple of other more detailed photos of my outfit. But that's the general gist of it.  Mummy curled my hair and did my hair in Victory rolls. They were quite a nice hair style.

This is Mabel and her wonderful Belle dress! Isn't her outfit awesome!? She wore a corset and and then had trouble blowing out her candles. :)

This is Saxon as Walt Disney. He couldn't decide for ages who to come as then settled on Disney.  He actually sort of grew the moustache but coloured it black as all the boys in our family when they try to grow facial hair have ginger, so far. :)

This is Mabel's second youngest sister. She came as Mulan after watching the movie and totally loving it! :)

And this is Mabel's youngest sister. She is Rapunzel. :) There were actually three Rapunzel's at the party. :)

A Slice of Cupcake (I'm not even sure that's possible).

So you remember that update blog post I was going to do? Well here it is. Random bits of random stuff.

On Wednesday after Mum and I dropped Eden off for her exams we went and did some shopping. But not just any shopping. One of our very good friends' birthday parties is next month. It's a Disney dress-up party and you have to dress up as someone from a Disney movie.

I thought for ages that I'd loved to come as Maid Marian from the Disney version of Robin Hood. All time favourite movie when I was little as well. But the thing is, to get an outfit like hers would mean lots of lollie and probably too much stress to like the idea.
And then about the start of this month it hit me. Marvel is owned by Disney. *hint hint nudge nudge* and so I decided I would come as one of the main girls from one of them. Now, guess who I have decided on.

Nuh. Not Pepper Potts.
Nuh. Not Jane Foster.
Nuh. Not Natasha Romanoff.

And her outfit was surprisingly easy to get! I have a skirt that needs to be modified a bit, a leather jacket, shoes, and I need a belt for around my waist and a gun. This young lady http://www.bramblewoodfashion.com/2013/01/achieving-peggy-carters-look-from.html has done a nice video on how to do her make-up and hair and that is what I'll use for my base.

Saxon and Eden have also been invited. Eden is coming as Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (one of the scariest Disney movies I ever did see!) and Saxon is going to come as Walt Disney. :D

After we finished clothes shopping me and Mum went to a cafe/coffee shop and had scones and a muffin and hot drinks. I had a Chai latte and it tasted delicious!

I also was able just to talk to Mum about something I had had on my mind and it was just nice for the two of us to have to one-on-one time.

Mum and I have been doing Trim Healthy Mama. It's basically a healthier way of eating that actually works and helps with weight loss! Both Mummy and I have already lost weight and it's so easy and I really love it! To find out more about it: http://www.trimhealthymama.com/. That being said, when we went to the cafe we went off plan :O

I've been reading a few different books. I finished the Hound of the Baskervilles the other day. It was very enjoyable but I found that at some points I was rather freaked out! I read the last sixty pages (or something like that) in under 24 hours. I was rather proud of myself. :)

I finished listening to The Hunger Games after unsuccessfully trying to find the book. I'm now starting to read Catching Fire. I think I like Peeta better than Gale but then he has had more 'screen time'.

The younger kids are watching Prince Caspian while I write this. Do you realise that it is six years old now?

Watching things like Narnia or Star Wars bring back so many memories for me. And realising how much I love them, too. I think once we've finished watching Star Wars together (we've got the Original trilogy left) we should do Narnia. And can I say just how much I love Edmund in Prince Caspian? And Lucy, of course. And Trumpkin.

A Slice of Pizza

Most people title posts like this, 'A Slice of Life' me, I thought it would be cooler to call it what it is now. After pizza is very agreeable, although it could have been a slice of fudge as well, so many delectable choices. :)
Anyway, so what's been happening with me? Hmm, lots of things really.
1. I finished House of Hades. Yes, that book that I was really really annoyed and disgusted with. Thank Goodness I finally have, because I hate to have books that I've only half read hanging around.
2. Watched the last two Hornblower episodes with Rogan. We both agree that Maria is actually a better character than the french girl (I can't even remember her name). And her making him gloves before he leaves. Well, we were both saying 'Aww' when she gave them to him. But we were also about ready to give him a talking to in Duty until the end...then it was much better though it is not one of my favourites.

And we both really like Mr. Bush.

3. Been going in the pool a lot. And enjoying it. It's been really nice as the last few days have been really hot about 40.
4. Watched the last episode of Season 3 of Sherlock. I actually didn't enjoy it that much as it had some stuff in it that I didn't think needed to be in there. My favourite part was the Sherlock and Mycroft moment when they are at their parents' house and their mother almost catches them smoking and Mycroft tells Sherlock that he really does care about him. Also the reconciliation between John and Mary, that was hands down, the best part out of it all. Out of the three I think that probably The Sign of Three was my favourite. I absolutely loved Sherlock's speech. And him organising the page boy and telling a friend of Marys that he had been dropped to casual friend was really funny. Also, it probably had the best mystery out of the three. I did love the first episode but the second is the best I think all round.

Also that cliff-hanger? Well, I'm certainly not as interested or emotionally surprised and upset like I was for Reichebach Fall. I mean, BBC confirmed Moriarty to be dead and he's got to be dead. Otherwise Sherlock will just turn into one of those stupid T.V. shows where there is the same bad guy over and over again. Also, not a two year wait please, a year, no more. That's all I ask.  Also, they've been planning seasons 4&5 one very excited girl here! :D

5. Been looking at my drafts. I've got about thirty-six of them and I really need to work on some of them.
6. I've also been making skirts for us girls. Mum also wants one, I've made one for me and Arwen and I've cut out and over-locked almost all of Moran and Myffwyn's skirts. Mum also wants one so busy, busy.
7. Getting excited for a sleepover which me and Eden have organised this Monday night, we are planning on watching movies and staying awake as long as possible, and then crashing. It will be interesting to see how long I last. :)
8. I've got a dead-line to finish TT but actually I haven't done very much reading of it. Hmph, anyway, but I am reading a really nice book by Chrisitne Pope which Mum got off Kindle for me. It's surprisingly more mature than I thought it would be, but I am loving reading it anyway. And I really love Lord Shaine, he's such a sweetie!

9. We celebrated Eden's 18th Birthday last Saturday. Her birthday is actually in July but there were some complications of getting a date that suited everyone. It was pretty exhausting, but nice, and everyone had to wear a mask. Me and Rogan also dressed up as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John H. Watson, though we didn't get any pictures and the trench coat, then suit coat, were really boiling so it didn't last long. I even had band-aids for nicotine patches and Rogan had a gun, so it was very fun. :) Also, Mum has a pink phone so I walked around with that a little. And we were trying to find a serial killer as well, that's why we were there, investigating.

10. I went and saw Frozen for the second time the other day, I'd already seen it once and then Saxon because he was going crazy as we were listening to the songs from it and quoting, wanted to go and see it, and he generously took Rogan and I along with him. As it turned out, we sat right down the front, it was very interesting as we always try and get the back seats, but the cinema was packed. Anyway, I'll hopefully have a post on Frozen up soon. I enjoyed it much more the second time rather than the first. Thank you Saxon for taking us!

Anyway, I'd better go. That's just an update of what's been going on, hopefully I'll post again soon, but yeah anyway, see you guys!

My Birthday...

So my birthday was an amazing, wonderful day, which was everything that I had hoped it to be.
It started out a wee bit earlier than I had intended it to be. I went to be at 9 and put my light out at ten. Then I slept until 3:30 am when a gorgeous little brother of mine asked me if he could hop in my bed. I told him no and instead he hopped into Eden's. But he had woken me up and after going to the toilet and getting a drink, I still couldn't get back to sleep. Hence I spent the next hour trying to get to sleep, then decided I couldn't be bothered as I had planned to Skype one of my friends from the U.S. at 5:00 am. So I got up. I Skyped my friend which was really fun! She had seen Thor 2 on her birthday which is just a few days before mine. We talked about a lot of stuff. After that I watched Sir Gadabout with the little kids, went outside and then watched a bit more of Sir Gadabout. After that it was present opening time! I got all the books I wanted plus, the Sherlock DVD's. :) Saxon gave me a card with an announcement that he would be taking me to see Thor: The Dark World. Eden gave me a blow up mattress for going on the pool and twenty dollars (she loved giving presents and is very generous) and Autumn gave me earrings, which I was very happy about. :)
I had my breakfast and then we left for the cinemas. I wore my birthday crown all the time we were in town. :) After the movie finished we came home and I spent a while up in my room having a look at my books. Reading mostly 'The Sherlock Files' which is basically a visual guide to the series. :)
Braedon and Anna-Lisa came and brought Eden home from work as well. They also brought me two presents. Or two different lots of presents. One being a headband as Braedon had been fiddling with one of mine and had accidentally broken it, so they gave me another headband and two cute little guinea pigs. :) A boy and a girl. Anyone like some guinea pigs? Because I am going to have a LOT to give away! They're Abyssinian Guinea Pigs I think and their names are Olga da Polga and Percy. :)
Dinner was very nice. Beef Stroganoff with potatoes and my favourite vegetables. It was interesting not having to do any of the jobs and just being able to sit there and watch everyone while I read.
Then we had dinner and cleared away for my cake. Can you guess what it was? A violin for Sherlock Holmes. Can I just say that my Mum is so talented when it comes to making cakes? After that we had it, I took some of the little kids to bed, and then came down stairs to watch 'The Reichbach Falls' with Mum, Eden and Saxon. Then I went to bed. By the time I put out my light I had been awake for twenty hours, and I was pretty tired. And I was fifteen.

It also had, besides stick notes of Sherlock and John's opinions, says wher such lines as 'You see but do not observe' are from, as in which stories.

It's kind of an annual thing.....

Me as St. Zita, All Saint's Day 2013.

It's kind of an annual thing, as the post points out. But it is also unique in it's own way.
Today I am turning the age of FIFTEEN! Today is my birthday, and the quote is from Tangled when Rapunzel says how it's the 'funny' thing about birthdays.

And it is really funny. This year I've learned a lot of things about being older. I was one of the principal helpers while Mum had to stay with Corbyn in hospital. I had a step up to more responsibility as my two elder siblings at home (Eden and Saxon) got jobs and so weren't here every day, from morning to night. I've struggled with some stuff, been a brides' maid at my brother's wedding. I've struggled with understanding why and how people make wrong choices, people who are even close to me. I have learned the meaning of the word 'loss' as we lost our beautiful little angel.

And probably with all of this, I have become more mature (I hope so) and more ready to face the evils of the world and to stand up for what is right.
Finally I'm fifteen. I remember when I first joined blogger (4 or so years ago) people were blogging who were fifteen. That was a GINORMOUS number, seriously. And now I'm here. And no I have not changed that much in that space of time. I've gotten older, yes, hopefully more mature, hopefully more gentle and kind. But I still have my teddy bears on my bed. I still say that things are 'awesome' or 'cool' I still blog. I still enjoy being an older sibling. I still get frustrated and annoyed, and yes, I still count down to my birthday. :P

At 12:00 pm on Monday, 16th of November 1998 my amazing Mum gave birth to me. I was a middle sized baby in my family. A cute little girl with dark fuzzy hair on my head.
Who knew that when Mum and Dad first held this little cute girl that they were holding their most easily entertained child (seriously I find a lot of things hysterical which other people are just like 'whatever' with)
Who knew that this little girl was only half-way on the kids they would have come 2013

Who knew that this little girl was going to be a bookworm,
Who knew that this little girl was one of their children who hated change so much, who wanted everything to stay the same.

Who knew that this little girl was going to have an Irish temper when it came to be passionate about things,
Who knew that this little girl would adore stories about knights and medieval times,
Who knew that this little girl was going to be the child out of all Mum's and Dad's children who didn't get stressed very easily, except getting ready for mass. I'm quite calm for most other things.
WHO KNEW! Well, God knew, obviously. :P And I want to always try, no matter how old I get to serve him the best I can.

I'm the age of fifteen, half-way to thirty, three more years before I could get married, one year till my golden, sweet sixteenth birthday. Gee I feel old, but I don't. If that makes sense. I feel the same age as I did when I was fourteen, and the number fifteen is going to take some getting used to as well.

So to end this: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!
