"That icky-sticky stuff is only fit for Heffalumps and Woosels"

Bluch!
Okay. No it's not but it certainly deserves a big fat overrated label on it! Do you want to know what I'm talking ranting about. I'll tell you:
PEANUT BUTTER!!!!
Honestly guys, I just don't get it! It's a spread that's SUPPOSE to go on wait for it BREAD! Why is it when I search on Google for things like cheesecake, or anything sweet they always have a recipe that contains peanut butter. Why would you want to have that?! It's not sweet!
Now, assuming your American and totally love Peanut Butter you may be asking the question. "What is she going on about? Peanut butter is amazing!" Okay, Yeah I know. But let's search for a minute....................................................................................................................
Wha?????????
See what I mean?
But wait there's more:

And more

So you get the picture, right. I don't understand how you could put peanut butter in things like cheesecakes, cookies, cupcakes and all those sweet kinds of things.
Yes, I know that there are a ton of recipes that DON'T have peanut butter in them, but I'm just having a bit of fun ranting about this. :)
Don't get me wrong, I love to have peanut butter. Just not in sweet stuff. On bread. :P To some people that must sound really strange, but it's true. In fact, I wonder if my peanut butter is different to what you guys have.............I have no idea honestly.
I made a caramel slice a while back and it said to use quite a large amount of peanut butter. Then it was sort of like this:

Hhhm. Yeah, so I didn't like it at all.

NOOOOOOOO Don't ruin the oreos!
Anyway, that's pretty much all I'm going to say on the subject. It was fun to do this blog post. :) I'm sorry if there are any typos or accidental bad spelling. I haven't really checked that. :)

Laurie or Fritz?

Now, just in case you are wondering this blog post is about the two characters penned by that lovely authoress: Louisa May Alcott.
I saw on a blog that I recently followed that she had done a blog post on Little Women (1994) and that she'd read the books but had always thought that Laurie and Jo should have ended up together.
And that got me thinking. In the past month or so I've been reading Little Men. I finished it last Sunday and am now trying to get into the mood to read and finish Jo's Boys. I love Louisa May Alcott's writing! She was so skilled!
Anyway, that blog post on the blog about Laurie should have married Jo just stuck with me. Until today when I decided to talk about it.

Now, as we all should know, Laurie is the next door neighbour in Little Women.
He originally meets Jo and then all the other sisters and becomes their closest friend and neighbour. Music is his passion and he loves to get up to any larks that take his fancy. Bear with me please, I've only read Little Women once, the same with all the other Little Women books, but that's what I remember. Anyway. I really liked him. In Good Wives he goes away to college and becomes a little bit immature with how he spends his money and the way he wastes his time. When he comes home he proposes to Jo. She refuses him. He goes off in a huff and to Europe where he wastes his time and money. Until Amy pops up. Then he feels like he might have a second chance. Long story short, he ends up marrying Amy and I believe that it was the right choice. The thing is I don't think that Laurie and Jo should have ended up together. I think I'll explain my thoughts much more eloquently if I simply copy and paste the proposal from the 1994 version of Little Women. Take note that it is actually Little Women and Good Wives in one movie:

Laurie: "I have loved you since the moment I clapped eyes on you. What could be more reasonable than to marry you? "
Jo:"We'd kill each other."
Laurie: "Nonsense!"
Jo:"Neither of us can keep our temper-..."
Laurie: "I can, unless provoked."
Jo "We're both stupidly stubborn, especially you. We'd only quarrel!"
Laurie: "I wouldn't!"
Jo "You can't even propose without quarreling."

So yeah you get the idea. They just sound like they wouldn't get along because they are so alike in character and both need a more calmer person to be their life' partners.
As we all know Jo goes to New York and there she meets Professor Friedrich Bhaer and things just clicked. He's a kind man, more mature than Laurie and you find out that he cares for his two young nephews Franz and Emil even though he is quite poor himself. He's more quiet than Laurie and more wise. He also encourages Jo in her writing and gives his honest opinion because she asked him.

In short I like Laurie better. But Friedrich seems the perfect match for Jo. Kind, loyal, and not easily provoked. And Laurie, well he seems the best match for Amy. Rich, finds pleasure in music and art and all that fashionable stuff, and under Amy's calm hand he settles into an admirable gentleman.
So there you are, here are my ponderings and I must say that I hope you understood what I was saying because it doesn't seem like I've outlined them that clearly!

Changes in Life, and feeling different because of it.

I was just thinking in bed this morning about all the changes that had happened over the last three years or so. In 20 days my brother Braedon will be marrying his true love, Anna-Lisa. In just 20 days our family is going to experience a new change. Another change also is in November I am going to turn fifteen years old. When I was eleven that was a humongous number. And yet, life has seem to be so rapid over the past few years, maybe it is because I have been experiencing what it is like to have elder brothers and a sister, leave home, to go to college or work, even if it is just for a number of hours.
It's different, it feels different!
And yet.......sometimes I don't like change, sometimes I like things just the way they are, sometimes I wish that things could just go on as they are now, forever. Wouldn't that make life so much simpler?
But then we have Gandalf's qoute,"So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." You can always count on LOTR for good quotes even to use for every day life. And the part that seems most important to me, right now is,"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." So just because things are normal and ever day today, doesn't mean that it is going to be the same tomorrow, so build up relationship's that will last, and memories, which you will treasure, all your life.

And we have to remember that someday, its going to be our turn in a special way, someday, God is going to give us something which he knows is good for us, and we through all troubles, will strive for this thing, whatever it may be. Because it is our turn. And we want to leave behind us, people who care about us, who wish we didn't have to go, though they know it is best, people who wish things would just stay the same, but know that it is God's will, and God's Will is the most important thing. And they might not know it, but we certainly will, that we were like that once as well. And we will hold onto our memories until the time comes to make new ones with the same people.
I'm happy for changes, and yet, in other ways, I'm sad, because I know that things aren't ever going to be exactly the same again.
Maybe a LOTR picture and quote does not describe exactly what I feel, but it's good anyway. :)

God Bless
