A mini (or not so mini) review of Maleficent from a die-hard Disney fan of Sleeping Beauty

I thought I would like to write a mini review on Maleficent seeing as I went and saw it with Autumn and Eden on Monday night.
Now, you should know....Sleeping Beauty has always been my favourite Disney Princess movie. Until Tangled came out. Then Tangled replaced it but out of the classics, it has always been my favourite. I remember getting it on video for my sixth birthday after Mum had searched and searched for it, she almost didn't find it. Except she went shopping for groceries and found it at Woolies. And she found it! :D So I was one happy little girl.
Spoilers ahead guys! :D

In the past two years there have been two movies that I've watched are Maleficent and Snow White and the Huntsman. They both had their good points, but they also had their bad points.
Also, take note that I knew what happened at the end, as I read spoilers beforehand. :P
Bad points:
Maleficent has garned a 45 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
pixies maleficent poster

And I can understand that. I found that it switched from scenes that were light and humorous (with the fairies) mostly, to rather dark, scary, music based scenes that I found rather dark. I probably would have been better if I was home watching it on our T.V. but seeing as it wasn't, I was quite a bit freaked out. Maleficent is originally (Disney version) a very scary villain and it proved to be so. Until she started turning good. King Stefan was an absolutely horrible guy who needed a mother 'very, very badly' I feel like such a film critic because, I was thinking during/after the end finale when there's the fight/battle 'They could have put some really epic lines into that to make it a bit more wowish.' But they didn't. It was simply fighting. And then Stefan died! Hooray!
Some of the start of the storyline was 'typical' stuff. True love's kiss on her sixteenth birthday blah blah blah.......
I found just the character Maleficent, from about the time Stefan cuts off  her wings, to when she starts to soften with Aurora, a very dark character and I found her magic scary as well. But that's really no different to the Disney movie (once again) except that that was cartoon, so it was a little less worrisome. And it didn't have such loud music.

Stefan I hate. It's good that you died. And you don't slap fairies. No matter how angry you get!
My other big problem with the movie is I'll probably never be able to listen to 'Once Upon a Dream' the Disney version without thinking of the terrible (Autumn classed it as jazz) version that plays at the credits and I don't think that I'll ever be able to watch my favourite Princess movie (one of them, that is) without thinking of the large differences between the two movies.
Sooooooooooooo irresponsible!
Oh! And the fairies! How horrible can you be and you should soooooooo totally not be looking after a baby if you don't even know how to feed it! Of course, that and the fact that this beautiful little baby just had a curse laid upon it actually got me started thinking about abortion and how people don't want little babies. And so that was actually making me a bit teary and upset. Plus, they were rather pettish. Mostly there for comic relief.
On the bright side:
I enjoyed seeing Maleficent as a little girl and the fairy folk of the moors were nice, too.

I really did like Aurora although, she was a little 'airy-fairy' but she also played her part beautifully and how she thought Maleficent was her Godmother? Such a good idea. :)
My favourite character: Diaval! Maleficent's shape-shifting raven. He was so tender-hearted and sweet. And some of the stuff he says really made me laugh, like when they're lugging Prince Phillip all over the place. :)
I wish that there had been more of Prince Phillip in this. Now, I'm one of those people who simply hates! those stupid romances in movies that they squeeze in because they simply have to have a romantic kiss at the end, even if there seems no real point to it because there was no character-building between the couple.

That's what it was like in a lot of movies. Seeing as he didn't end up breaking the curse (I told you there were spoilers) I was glad when he showed up at the end because it looked like he and Aurora might actually take it a little more slow but still end up together! :D I wouldn't describe him as handsome, but more like cute. I wasn't sure that he was even going to turn up! but I think when he did I started smiling. :D
Maleficent was an alright character but her best parts were with Aurora. :)
Like this first one. :)
What else should I talk about before I finish this? It's a dark movie. If and when we get it on DVD Rogan won't be watching it because it is rather dark.
I think all three of us girls were getting a bit teary at the end. It was awesome because we were the only people in the cinema so we could discuss it as we watched and Autumn and Eden did a capital job asking me if I was alright. :)
So in short: My favourite Princess movie was ruined. But not entirely. It was ok. But not terrific. I wouldn't go and see it at the cinema again, but I'd maybe watch it when it comes out on DVD.
So that's my rather mixed up opinion on Maleficent everybody! I hope you enjoyed reading my ramblings! :D
Anyway I'd better go.

I think I'm officially X-Mened

So early this year I watched the first and second X-Men's. They are my sister Autumn's official number one 'super hero' movies. Although they are really quite different from any other super hero movies, and if I was classing them, I'd say that they were mutant movies, but that doesn't make much sense unless you've actually seen them.
Anyway, as most X-men fans know, X-Men: Days of Future Past is coming out in a few days at the movies. Some friends want to go and see it with us. The same who came to see Captain America: Winter Soldier with us. Also, I've pretty much dumped that blog post as it is now a while since I've seen it. Maybe I'll review when ti comes out on DVD or something. Rabbit trail.
Anyway so going to see that means that I need to watch the other X-Men movies for it to make any sense. So on Friday night we sat down to watch X-Men: First Class. Now, before watching this movie I thought X-Men were okay, but that the franchise was not one that was really going to 'click' with me. Boy was I wrong!

X-Men: FS has got to be the best out of the four I have seen. It was so good! I loved all of it. It also had great back-story and really set up the other X-Men movies and explains some of the people and their stories. Most notably, Charles Xaiver, Erick Lensherr, and Mystique. My personal favourtie character was, wait for it: Professor X. Okay, I just loved him! He was so cool! I had hear the line 'It's a mutation, it's actually a very groovy mutation many times before. And then I finally heard it on the movie! We quote it better though. :) Magneto had an interesting story-line, but I didn't really connect with him. Mystique was good until, mmm, probably the middle.
The finale and ending were also really good! I can't really take Professor X's line seriously though: 'I can't feel my legs!' Because this is all I can think of:

Obviously Frozen has rubbed off on me good. :) But it was kind of sad because you know that he is just stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
We watched The Last Stand last night, and frankly, I didn't think much of it. Yes, it might set it up for the DOFP but it doesn't mean that I'll be in a hurry to watch it again.
So you could say that I've been x-trenmly busy watching x-tra cool movies. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Now all I've got to do is wait for that trip to the movies, and maybe, who knows, I could fit int eh two Wolverine movies before then. :D
And it is time for me to go to bed! Good night!

God Bless

What I thought of Thor: The Dark World

NOTE: This post has spoilers all over. Don't read if you have not seen the movie, you don't want to spoil it, I assure you.
So my present from my brother Saxon, was as I had been hoping for some time, a ticket to go and see Thor: The Dark World. Me and Saxon had joked about how they should name the next Thor film The Dark World 'Rises' and how Thor, should have been Thor Begins. :D We amuse ourselves.
Love this!
Anyways, Thor: The Dark World. Does it deserve it being the lowest rating out of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe? The answer to that is absolutely not! Seriously, it was better than Iron Man 2, probably better than Iron Man, Captain America: The First Avenger, and it's predecessor. I'm not sure where it stands with Iron Man 3. It doesn't outrank the Avengers, though. The Avengers has its very own level of Super Hero awesomeness. I think after I watch once it comes out on DVD my views might change a bit, but it was a great sequel, and I highly recommend it!
I loved how we got to see more of the other realms. I loved the whole medieval feel with them. :)
The start was good with the narration of the Dark elves and I was actually expecting Thor and Sif and the others fighting the bad guys at the start to be at the end of the movie. I was seriously disgusted with Erik Selvig, I mean dude, you soooo totally shouldn't have throw away your medicine, you definitely needed it. That has got to be my biggest complaint, it kept going back to that! And we didn't need to be reminded about it!
They totally look like they trust each other, right?
We got to explore the relationship between Thor and Loki some more, (awesome stuff!) and got introduced to some new characters (Ian) and some which did not have very much in the previous Thor film such as Darcy and Thor's Mum.

Thor was very impressive. As always. :) It was nice to see him on his own home turf. He has indeed grown from the spoiled, self-centered boy, that he was in the first Thor film. I loved how he had matured, you could see that by the way he treated Odin instead of telling him how he was 'an old man and a fool!' as he did in Thor 1. He was not entirely gone with his rebelliousness, he still has a streak of it. He wouldn't have left Asgard unless there was no other better way for helping Jane, which there obviously wasn't. His relationship with Loki was interesting. When he went down to Loki's cell and told him to 'stop pretending' or whatever the line was and we actually see Loki as he is. He obviously has had enough of Loki's trick and is wary of it.
He still has that Thor characteristics as in the first film, like him hanging up his hammer on the hat rack and is still not that comfortable with modern things. He may not understand how the scientific things work, but he has faith in Jane and her abilities.

Jane was a bit better than in the first film. She is not my favourite Marvel lady, it has to be admitted. Pepper Potts holds that. She should have had a bit more character depth to her. But she did play her role well. And like James pointed out she did have more of a reason to be in the film than in the previous film and wasn't just a love interest. I couldn't believe when I first saw her that she was actually on a date! Seriously! Aren't you waiting for Thor?! I know it's been two years and all, but you stoop to the level of a guy like this? Not that he wasn't nice, but he's not Thor. She is rather brainy when it comes to science (she's a scientist) my favourite part with her is when the Asgardian nurses? are examining her, and she asks if something is what she thought it was, and they're like n, its not, and they use a different name for it and she just like yeah it is. :) Watching her punch Loki was good as well.
This bit. Starts laughing!
Loki was at his best in this movie. Dare I say that I loved him? This was his best role out of Thor, The Avengers, and Thor: The Dark World. I loved it how he didn't seem to care that they were attacking Asgard, but kill his Mother and you are all dead meat! It was nice to see him and Thor (mostly) working together. It was great when he tries to introduce himself to Jane and she just punches him. :) Good times. And back-seat drivers are very irritating. The best part with Loki, besides the Thor and Loki vs. Dark Elves showdown, was when we had him morphing into other people, and Thor was Sif. I laughed so much when he turned into Captain America, even after that I was still chuckling about it. :) I think I was pretty upset about his 'death'. He wasn't all bad. He's just not Thor. And how does that work at the end? Did he kill Odin or what?

Malkieth was not the best Marvel villain, I've gotta say. Yes, he was after power, as all villains are but he did not have the same back story, he was sort of just there. He was a good villain though when it comes to being creepy and freaking out everyone within a ten mile radius. He was just after power though, and did not really have an inner fury driving him like some of the other villains. He couldn't even hold his own against Frigga but needed his own body guard to kill her. Something which I will never forgive him for. Also I found the fact that he spoke in a different language most of the time, decidedly creepy. So yes, he was a good villain but no the best. A definition of Malkieth is that he is a creep.

Darcy was better in this movie. Maybe a little brighter perhaps? But not by much. :) I loved how she now has her own intern. Ian, who she just calls intern. It was great how she just is like 'Hey I'm Darcy' when Jane is out on her date. :) So she was better, but still the Darcy that we know and love from the first movie.

Frigga and Odin: Husband and wife. King and Queen.

Odin was really irritating in this movie. And a bit insulting too. Rather harsh when it came to Thor's liking Jane and his total unhelpful attitude with what to do with the Aether that was surging through Jane's veins. Of course it is probably a bit more understanding when we realise that he is rather grief-stricken with the loss of his wife. What guy wouldn't?

Frigga was awesome! I loved her! I really began to like her and then she died. :( But she fought Malkieth and triumphed! The funeral was good to watch as well, though melancholy.

Other characters: Erik Selvig, I seriously hated him in this movie! Seriously he was sooooo weird! Heimdall was better. I liked it how Thor always went to him and asked how Jane was. I also liked it how he saw the invisible Dark Elves ship thingie and climbed quickly to get rid of it. He also was happy to help Thor, even if it meant treason. Ian was an interesting, new character. He and Darcy compliment each other. They are both just as stupid. :) 'Did you just throw the car keys?'

Lady Sif had less screen time than I had anticipated. I would have liked to see more of her.

Also of the Warriors Three. I was glad that they had the final battle in England, a nice change from the American look, don't you think?

Favourtie quotes: All the banter between Thor and Loki was very entertaining. Stuff like this:
[Thor and Loki commandeer a Harrow] Loki: Look, why don't you let me take over? I'm clearly the best pilot! Thor: Is that right? Out of the two of us, which one can ACTUALLY fly?
[the Harrow takes out a building] Thor: Not a word..

Loki: This is so unlike you, brother. So... clandestine. Are you sure you wouldn't rather punch your way out?
Thor: If you keep talking, I might.

“It’s only because I’m worried for you that you’ve survived.”-Frigga

Thor: If you betray me, I will kill you.
Sif: If you betray him, I will kill you.
Volstagg: If you betray him...
Loki: You'll kill me? Evidently there will be a line.
Awkward

Jane Foster: Is that a quantum field generator?
Nurse: It's a soul forge.
Jane Foster: Well, does a soul forge transfer molecular energy from one object to another.
Nurse: Yes.
Jane Foster: Hmm. Quantum field generator.

Loki: Let's have a delightful chat about patriotism, and justice, and freedom! God bless America! Cannot stop chuckling over this one. :)

Loki: I think you missed a column.
Thor: Shut up!

Loki: Well done. You just decapitated your grandfather.

Loki: Now they're firing at us!
Thor: Yes, thank you for the commentary, Loki. It isn't at all distracting.

*sniff*

Anyway to finish this off. Thor: The Dark World is an excellent sequel to its predecessor. A movie worthy to be called a Marvel. And it was very, very cool, entertaining, a great plot-line and great characters and an all around excellent film. One thing though, they have got to have another movie with Loki in it! They have to!
And now, to wait for it on DVD.
What do you guys think?

Batman Begins,

So yes, here it finally is, Batman Begins! Ha! Did you think that it'd be all three movies? Well, things change.
And actually what happened was that I was sort of like 'Hey, Saxon. Do you want to help me write a Batman blog post?' And he was like 'Sure, yeah.' So I wrote the blog post (he suggested splitting it) and his comments are in blue. He was the one who suggested me watching Batman and though I wish he did, he used to blog over at 'A Knights Quest'  he hasn't blogged in two years, so yeah. Enjoy the first part! :D
Part 1: Batman Begins

I remember that when the movie started I squeaked 'I'm watching Batman' I heard the Batman music *Da Daaaaaaaa* (yes, I've heard some of the music before) and I began to watch.
Now, Saxon told me pretty much everything about Batman Begins. Like pretty much the entire story line.  And some cool quotes, because without cool quotes movies pretty boring...But that was okay, I thought it was awesome anyway. One thing I had trouble with was that I couldn't quite work out how they were going to pollute the water but that's okay. The other thing was that there was a lot of night-time fighting And that's why they choose to have their "group therapy sessions in broad daylight".... sorry couldn't resist  Vellvin continue: and stuff, and seeing as I was a bit tired I had a little trouble focusing.
Batman Begins was a pretty awesome movie. It had a big build-up but it was nice to have the back-story of him being afraid of bats, and his Mum and Dad getting shot (Wouldn't exactly call that nice but anyways) and him running away. I thought it was good how his Dad asked him why do we fall down.  His Father seemed like a pretty nice guy. It was kind of weird, having Gotham City which isn't even a real city, and not New York (Which gets blown to bits in every second movie action/superhero/scifi , partly I was annoyed and partly I liked it better that way.
Batman Begins is darker (Well he is the Dark Knight...and Bruce Wayne....and the hero Gotham deserves but not the one it needs aaaaand....)then any other super hero movie I have seen (excluding the second, and the third which I will watch soon). Even the Amazing Spiderman isn't as dark (Though it was an amazing movie :P), I believe. Though I've only seen it once all the way through, and it was dark nevertheless.

Well, a guy who dresses up like a bat clearly has issues.- Bruce Wayne/Batman
I really liked Bruce Wayne/Batman. He was pretty awesome, also he's very handsome. :) (*Groan*) I loved the fact that whenever you see him he's either in his Batman suit or a business suit. I've watched HISHE before and Batman is usually one of the primary characters in that, so I'd already heard sort of how his voice was. I know its Batman's voice and all but it was a little hard to take seriously anyway. I liked it how Batman is older than most of the other super heroes. He just seems more mature, more I don't know. Stable? In who he is and what he needs to do. Did anyone else grin when Earle rings him up and he replies with just the same line he used on him. That was funny! We need more Batmans don't we?

What is the point of all those push-ups if you can't even lift a ****** log?- Alfred (The answer being, as usual, because he's Batman)
Alfred. Now we all know how loyal British butlers are, don't we? Because Alfred is no exception. He's known Bruce all his life. I loved it in the flash backs when Alfred tells him when Bruce asks is he's given up on him and Alfred just like' Nu-uh!' type thing. He's fiercely loyal, he knows what to do and when to do it. He is sooooooo much better than Harry's butler from Spiderman! (Tell me about it!!) I mean, yeah that was soooooo helpful telling him that his father died from the glider. At least two years after it happened. Yeah, that was so helpful. Anyway, back to Batman. Alfred is one of the few people who knows that Bruce is Batman and all around we all just want to give him a hug, don't we?

Yield.-Bruce Wayne
Henri Ducard: You haven't beaten me. You've sacrificed sure footing for a killing stroke. He taps the ice with his sword, plunging Bruce into the water. (I loved this part out of the movie! It was so funny!)
Henri Ducard/ Ra's al Ghul in other words-villian
Okay, so Batman Begins had a few villians but the most primary of these was Henri, also known as Ra's al Ghul. So we all liked him at the start didn't we? He is Liam Neeson after all, and he Liam Neeson is Qui-Gon Jinn and everyone likes Qui-Gon Jinn. His voice is awesome and its so gentle, so its hard to have him as a bad guy. When he trains Bruce was very interesting, he was not merciful, not gentle, he was entirely the opposite, hard, unyielding, and unmerciful. And with a thirst for justice even of it means killing millions to boot...But if you think about it, that't probably what Bruce needed to get him to what he needed to be, namely Batman. I really liked it how he suddenly just 'showed up' at Bruce's party and then they're just talking casually like old friends as the people have/are leaving. Now, it was very much like a bad guy to leave six of his henchmen to finish the job of killing the hero, obviously it didn't work, and it's never going to work for any bad guy. Batman meets him on the train, and knocks him down, so that he crashes with the train. And that's the end of him. Or is it?

Rachel Dawes- Basically the 'heroine' of Batman Begins. Best friend of Bruce Wayne when they were children, she tried to slap some sense into him after Chill's trial (literally) and she has no qualms about telling him what she thinks of him.

I like the fact that she's rather spunky and not stupid, she thinks Scarecrow is doing something fishy and she's ready to find out what it is

Commissioner Gordon- The uncorrupt police officer, who believes in Batman, even when others don't. He's out there to do good, and he comforts Bruce the night his parents die. He's pretty cool, always seroius and with a few good lines as well.

Scarecrow-villian and mad scientist, you know its funny how he's still running around in the Dark Knight Rises and no one knows what happens to him at the end. He is soooo irritating, and a little loony as well.  "Death. By exile."

Lucius Fox. Okay, so we all like him. He's rather witty, and smart and knows what he's doing in every situation. He helps Bruce with his high-tech weapons and walks him through them. He also, though Bruce does not say it to his face, suspect he is Batman.  ("The Tumbler? Oh, you wouldn't ne interested in that...")

Dadadadada! B...

Hey guys! How's things? This past week has been really long. Little kids haven't been feeling well and Spring is acting more like Autumn/Winter, mostly Winter.
Guess what I watched last night?

Yep! Batman Begins! It was pretty cool! I really like Batman/Bruce Wayne he was awesome! So I already knew the basic story-line from my brother who told we all about it one night when we were making beds together. Anyway, I'm watching the Dark Knight and then hopefully the Dark Knight Rises tomorrow night. Except for someone (Saxon) who has a strange idea that we should watch BOTH of them tonight! Hopefully I'll do a blogs post on the three once I've seen them. Oh, yeah and I'm gonna boo the Joker, just so everyone knows. It is kind of called the Dark Knight isn't it? Not 'The Joker'
Anyway Auf Wiedersehen (German for goodbye)
Goodnight! :)

I'm excited!!!

Me and Rogan are very excited for 'Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters' which is being released at the movies in September. I'm so excited!! I hope it is better than te first one like, from book to movie, type thing. :) And Tyson's in it! Tyson is soooooo cute! Gosh, I sound like Aphrodite talking to Percy in TTC. :)

This is the best trailer out of all of them!

"You weren't able to talk sense into him?"
Well, we kind of tried to kill each other in a duel to the death."
I see. You tried the diplomatic approach.”
― Rick Riordan, The Sea of Monsters

“There was Tyson moving into the Poseidon cabin, giggling to himself every fifteen seconds and saying, "Percy is my brother?" like he'd just won the lottery.

Aw, Tyson," I'd say. "It's not that simple.”
― Rick Riordan, The Sea of Monsters

“Weapons are allowed. Dirty tricks are expected. But try not to kill anybody!” Tantalus smiled at us like we were all naughty children. “Any killing will result in harsh punishment. No s’mores at the campfire for a week! Now ready your chariots!”
― Rick Riordan, The Sea of Monsters

“Tyson dropped the two warriors he was about to tie into a knot and jogged after us. He jumped on the centaur's back.
'Dude!' the centaur groaned, almost buckling under Tyson's weight. 'Do the words "low-carb diet" mean anything to you?”
― Rick Riordan, The Sea of Monsters

I AM VERY EXCITED!!! I'm up to book three in the five books, oh yeah and I'm going to go see 'Man of Steel' tomorrow with my two older sisters. We are having a 'sisters day out' and I'm hoping we'll have a lot of fun.

What on earth have I been doing???????

I sort of just disappeared and to me, after blogging so consistently on here for the past few months it felt a little bit strange, but it was good anyway.
So what have I been doing? What has been happening?

Well reading is one of the things I have been doing. Okay and yeah, I've only been reading one series of books recently. In fact that picture of me you see above this is me finishing the second in the series. The series is 'The Percy Jackson and the Olympians'. Probably the thing that started us with reading these books was watching the movie based on the first book. And Anna-Lisa was the one who suggested watching it, and even showed me and Eden the trailer of it, when we went down for the Lady's night and Kitchen Tea. We didn't get around to watching it but Eden wanted to get it from the Video shop and we watched. I've seen it three times now. Gosh, that's a lot of times since just before the wedding. I've got to admit, i have never been a big fan of reading the Greek myths. Never.

The idea of Gods and Goddesses was just an idea which I seriously disagreed with, even if the stories are not true. The Gods were always selfish, 'all about them' type attitude. And that's an outsiders opinion, just so you know. The Percy Jackson series is good, entertaining, funny (Hades is really funny) and awesome (like who doesn't like the idea of a pen that turns into a sword?)

What else? Well, I've been listening to this really cool aduibook written by Gordon Korman. It's called Unsinkable and there are two other books after Unsinkable (which I finished today). So I want my brother to put the

nest book on Mum's I-Pod so I can listen to it! Daniels not dead!!!!! :D And I like Paddy, and Alfie. Sophie is alright and I don't like Julia very much at all!

Coughing, yep I've had a cough and runny nose and everything else that happens when you have a cold. And so yep, coughing still.

I watched MIB for the first time ever the other night. It was very entertaining and funny. 'I'm sorry, was that your auntie?' Best line! :D

Plotting out cast for a Rangers Apprentice movie if we (Eden, Saxon, Rogan, and I, and Mum a bit too) ever had the budget and the means to do it. It's alright you know we've got Christian Bale as Gilan, Benedict Cumberbatch as Keren, Christopher Lee as Tennyson, probably Robert Downey jr. as Halt, Jennifer Lawrence as Alyss, James Franco as Horace, Hugh Jackman as Erak,  Russel Crowe's Slagor, Richard Armitage is Svengal, Will Smith is Selethen and yeah you get the idea. We'll need like a six-hundred-million-dollar budget. Oh yeah, and we'll need some epic music? Who knows how much that'll cost! :D But it was very, very fun!

Portrait: He loves this book and I have to ding the rhyme to him over and over and over and .......
This was from another day when Mum was reading it to him but nevertheless he was very enraptured anyway. :)
Reading aloud to my little borther Trahaearn yesterday. I even put him to sleep! We read it like six times! The Boy with a Drum, I mean and I coughed a bit as well Not to mention we had read a few books before that!
And yes, that's it! Besides school and stuff like that.
Cheerio!

Spider-man!!

Warning: Humongous spoilers so I would not advise you to go reading if you want to spoil Spider-Man if you have not yet seen it. :)

"With great power comes great responsibility."- Ben Parker.

I was staring at the cover of Spider-man all week befire we watched the first one. I was waiting to watch it. Braedon kept on telling us that it was boring. But I waited and after watching it I had formed my own opinion.
I liked it! I really did like it! :) It can't compete with Thor or Captain America or the Avengers but it was very interesting to watch.

The next morning after watching this movie Mum said when I asked her, that the thing which makes Spider-man different from other Super Heroes is that he's a bit of a geek and he's normal.
I didn't really have a favourite character but I did like Peter and the Green Goblin.
Peter was very different from any Super Hero I've seen. I couldn't work out why after the spider bit him he didn't just kill it with his boot. We were also getting a little 'itchy' when the spider was getting near Peter and than when it bit him. Most of us hate spiders and some of us have aracni phobias to spiders. His transformation into Spider man the next day was very amusing when he came down the stairs and ran on the wall. :) I think another reason Spider-man was different from the other super hero movies I've seen was also that he had to mature and realise that his powers weren't meant to be squandered but used for the good of other people.

The turning point was when Uncle Ben died.(Did I mention how much I love uncle Ben?)After Uncle Ben died you notice in the movie how Peter focused on helping other people.
Mary Jane drove me nuts! She was very confusing and her character was hard to work out. I just found the idea of her going out with some many different guys (in the first and the second, bad liking harry AGAIN in the third) and not realising she loved Peter and almost getting married was pretty dumb.

Braedon described the Green Goblin as 'corny' after watching it with us and though he was excessively corny I found him rather amusing. The best part with him in it is the part with 'the itsy bitsy spider' :)
He was stupid to transform himself into the Green Goblin though. :P A Gollum double does occur and his laughter was pretty creepy. When he kidnapped Peter I was like 'seriously you just let him go away? That was stupid!' And than the final bit with him and the whole "Peter, it's me." Was like so annoying!!!

End of opinion on Number:1.
Number:2
Number 2 is the least of my favourites out of ANY of the Spider man movies. Peter acted so stupidly "I'm Spider-man  I'm not spider-man  I hate being spider-man  I love being spider-man  I want to be normal like everyone else, I don't want to be like everyone else, I like Mary-Jane, I don't like Mary-Jane, She likes me, I have to protect her, I'm confused, I don't know what to do, I can't see without my glasses, I can see without my glasses, I need to save the city, I don't want to save the city, the city is junk, I like the city and blah, blah, blah blah. :P
The bad guy was so lame!! I didn't like him very much. It was really sad when Rosa died though. I felt sorry for him than but he was a little creepy with his tentacles and stuff. Aunt May was one of the best characters in the second. She is always offering advice and being so loving and kind to Peter.
The best part was where Harry was, with the knife, that kind of thing though the outcome was kind of disappointing. :(
We had watched the trailer and I thought it looked really cool. And than finally at the end MJ fins out that he's Spider-Man and that really would of helped if you had told her sort of thing.
THERE WAS WAYYYYYY TOOO MUCH SCREAMING!!!!!!!!! Pretty much every second scene it was 'ahh!' and than ' ahh'
It drove me mad. I still can't work out why everyone thinks the second is the best.
Harry was kind of disappointing
The many different death of Uncle Ben really got annoying and was sort of like 'can we pleaseeeeee have the actual picture of the scene. That would be very helpful thank you.
The newspaper man was always in all three very amusing. :) He helped to lighten the mood. "Doc Oc." And he talked real fast but it was amusing instead of annoying.
End of opinion on Number:2

Number:3 is one of my favourites mainly because there was lots of Harry in it and he turned good at the end. It was great when he lost his memory and was just having the time of his life. It would have been helpful if the stupid butler had told Harry that his father was actually killed by his won glider. That would of been really helpful, buddy. (^^^)
The whole, slime thing, was really weird and strange all at the same time. Venom was really scary especially his teeth. But if it hadn't been Peter's fault for being so stupid and going out with the girl who Venom was going to marry was really sad. Mum said the best part about it was when he was 'trying' to be cool. That was sort of like *hiding face behind hands, sort of getting embarrassed' that kind of thing.
I felt sorry for Sandman and how he couldn't be with his daughter and all that. The transformation of him into sandman was a little strange and I couldn't work out what was going on.
MJ was as stupid as always and Peter was a bit stupid as well.
Aunt May was good as always and her wisdom and advice for Peter would have been better if he had listened before.
Every time Peter looked at the two suits and I was thinking and saying 'put on the red one." bad than when he did I thought 'it took you forever!'
He should of told Aunt May who he was beside Peter Parker. :(
The best thing about the third movie was the fact that Harry became good. He died at the end though and that was kind of annoying.

The Amazing Spider-Man or number: 4
The amazing Spider-man was my favourite Spider-man movie.
I liked the new Peter better and he didn't seem like such a goof. He was more of a computer geek rather than photographer and you still had the whole thing with what happened to his father whereas as it is not explained in the first movie how he ended up living with his Aunt and Uncle.
Speaking of Aunt and Uncle I liked the other Aunt May and Uncle Ben instead of the new people. Aunt May didn't look old enough and Uncle Ben was choker-block full of wisdom like the other Uncle Ben.
It takes longer to get into this movie but I thought it was worth it.

Gwen was so much better than MJ and a whole lot smarter. She didn't drive me nuts like MJ did on various occasions.
See what I mean by creepy?
The Lizard was a little creepy and strange. He was very big and Spider-Man (in any of the movies) have a habit of knowing who Peter is, even if they don't know he's Spider-Man.
There wasn't any Harry in it but unlike in the other movies I liked this Peter a whole lot more and he made up for Harry not being in it.
I liked it how Peter sneaked into Oscorp and they had the actual guy that was suppose to eb there being taken out of the building. It made me laugh.
I loved the scene with the car thief which I saw before I saw the whole movie. I really like that part.
Gwen's dad was a caring father and I liked him. It was pretty cool how they were all trying to arrest Spider-Man and than how he knew who it was adn than made him promise.
There was a bit of language like in any of them but more so, I'd say and the part where he started using his powers was a little embarrassing but funny as well and he's apologising the whole time. :) That is funny.

The Amazing Spider-Man equals the words: AWESOME!!
I hope I can go and see the second at the movies when it comes out.

And now I must be off, it is pretty late and I am tired.
Hope you enjoyed the post and see you all soon!! :D

God Bless
