In a few days or to be more precise in 8 days INHERITANCE by Christopher Paolini will be released. I am super excited about this!! I have been waiting since September 2008 for this last book of the inheritance cycle.
The back cover was realeased a while back and this is what it said:
Not so very long ago, Eragon—Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider—was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders.
Long months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can. There will be no second chances.
The Rider and his dragon have come further than anyone dared to hope. But can they topple the evil king and restore justice to Alagaësia? And if so, at what cost?
This is the much-anticipated, astonishing conclusion to the worldwide bestselling Inheritance cycle.
There are so many questions to be answered such as -and in my case-who will kill Galbatorix?
List of questions:
1# Who kills Galbatorix?
2# Who is the next dragon rider?
3# What the heck, is the rock of Kuthian?
4# What is the vault of souls?
5# What is Eragon's true name?
6# What happens to Murtagh, does he get killed? Does he become a goody again?
7# Who are the two people who Angela casts the dragon bones for in Brisingr?
8# What becomes of Nasuada? Does she die?
9# What characters die?
10# Why is the green dragon's eyes a different colour than its scales unlike Saphira, Thorn and Glaedr?
11# Will Arya and Eragon end up together?
12# Who is the man on the shore which waves farwell in Eragon's dream in Eragon?
13# Will Katrina have her baby?
14# Will Roran fulfill his debt with Birgit?
15# Will Elva be a goody any more? Will she cause trouble for the Varden?
So yeah, those are some of the questions which are going on in my head. And with only a few days to go it is time (for me at leats) to start biting my nails in anticapation!!! And what an annoying thing too. They were just starting to get long. :(
I need to listen to the rest of the Brisingr audio-book before next wendsday which actually has rather long chapters because it isn't abridged and the book of Brisingr is about 700-800 pages long.
The good thing about inheritance is that it is actually longer than any of the other books before it!!! The horrible thing is that the book will be very hard to read in bed because you'll have to sit up in your bed to read it! Another good thing is that there will be TONS more of Murtagh!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I have a huge crush on Murtagh! :D LOVE LOVE LOVE Murtagh!!!!!!!!! :D :D Yep a huge Murtagh fan.
One of my favorite things about Brisingr was how you got to see a lot of Eragon's and Saphira's relationship. THat has gotta be one of my favorite things and that is why two of my favorite chapters (there's a lot of those) are "Amid the restless crowd" and "Reunion" because thats where you actually see how much Saphira and Eragon care and love each other. I hope for more of this sort of thing with Saphira and Eragon because I just love it!!! :) Wouldn't it be cool if Eragon, Murtagh and the new rider all fight Galbatorix together? Now that is something which would be cool and like so Awesome!! :D
Who do you think will be the new rider? I think that it is probably Arya or one of the women in Brisingr who Angela casts the bones for. Do you think that maybe Islanzadi die off and Arya become queen of the elves?
One of the ideas my Mum came up with with Murtagh is that he might end up with Nasuada. He's rather impressed with her and that sort of stuff but will there be more of Murtagh and his dealings with Nasuada or not?
Random fact for you:
The Japanese translation of Brisingr was so large that the publisher split it into two volumes. Since the Japanese did not want the same cover on two volumes, they commissioned Palencar to paint one of the Lethrblaka for the second volume. The Lethrblaka are the Ra'zac's steeds and parents.
Paolini made drawings based on the book for the deluxe edition of Brisingr, including one with Eragon's arm and hand holding the sword he receives in the book. The sword, named Brisingr, has flames around its blade.
In 2008 I finished Brisingr in one whole week! Now, that was without doing anything much besides and I hope that now three years later I will be able to read it much faster!
I could go on and on with these books and especially how I hate waiting but I won't and I hope that if you read the books like I do we won't be disappointed. :)
8 more days!!!!
God Bless
