July Movie Quote Quiz Results

You all might be wondering why I'm publishing this on Friday when I said the deadline was Tuesday. I only logical answer is I got all the results, I wrote the blog post and I wanted to publish it, so here it is:
NOTE: My brother Saxon after looking at responses of the quiz suggested.that instead of  this rule:
I am the judge, some of the answers that people give are some times rather obscure and hard to work out. I reserve the right to judge if they got the point (for the people or movie it doesn't matter).

That I would replace it with this one: You get a point for each person that you say is talking and also, what the movie is. For example: "For a second there, I actually thought you were gonna eat me." "I don't eat junk food." The movie is Ice Age and the characters talking are Sid and Diego. BUT if you said Sid talking to someone else, and the movie, you would only get two points.
Sounds easy? I hope so. It certainly makes things easier for me! This rule is being used on this movie quote quiz and hereafter. I'm sorry I didn't think of it earlier because it makes the answers so much easier to discern.

This months answers were so much fun! :D And so many people participated. Thank you, to everyone who did! :D
Just the person's name in the section, people who got it right, means they got one point, two is indicated by a star on each side of the person's name, and three by two stars either side. Hope that helps. :)
And now the answers:

1. "Tell me, Prince Edmund..."
"King."
"I beg your pardon."

Have fun with this movie quote quiz, guys! :) I would add a couple of pictures but I'm off to watch Ever After so I'll just leave you all with this and the movie quote quiz:

3. You score one point for every correct answer you submit -that's telling me what movie the quote is from- and you can also earn an extra point by telling me who said the quote!
4. You MAY ask immediate family members (parents, siblings, pets, etc.) for help and you MAY watch a movie again to see if one of the quotes is in it (of course, that would probably be a waste of time, but whatever :P Three new rules I have added:
5. I am the judge, some of the answers that people give are some times rather obscure and hard to work out. I reserve the right to judge if they got the point (for the people or movie it doesn't matter).
6. If you say the characters, but not the movie, you still get a point.
7. Have fun!

It ends Tuesday 15th of July. Enjoy! :D

The Warm Hugs tag....sort of.

Hi guys! :)
Arda tagged me with the Warm Hugs Tag if I wanted to do it, seeing as the questions were interesting and I thought I would enjoy it, I decided to go ahead and do it. :)

The rules:
1. Follow the blog that tagged you (optional).
2. Include two or more pictures that include your favorite characters, books, movies, or lyrics from songs (they can also be your own edits or pictures).
3. Tag five or more bloggers and tell them.
I found this just now. Not in the movie but isn't it a great picture?
That's one.

That's two.

4. Answer the blogger’s ten questions related to characters, books, movies, or lyrics.
5. Create your own questions having to do with the same thing.

1. Do you listen to any podcasts?
No, not really. I tried to listen to the first one over at JandProdcutions when James was doing them but honestly, I did not really have something else to do while I was listening to it, and I prefer to listen and do something at the same time. What can I say, I multi task.

2. At what point did you know you were into your main fandom(s)?
The point when I was basically photo-bombing my blog with pictures of them. :) And thinking about them, like a lot and obsessing over them. :)

3. What are you currently reading and/or watching?

I just finished reading the Hunger Games trilogy. I am now reading Little Men. It is sooooo good! I've been watching Season 2 of Arrow. But have decided that I'm going to be steering clear of that for a while.
Hopefully tonight we'll be watching The Hunger Games. :)

4. Writing in books - yes or no? Absolutely! My name and when I got it. If it is a gift from someone I'll write who it is from. :)

5. Who is the funniest character you like?
Umm, hard question. Percy Jackson comes to mind. Yep, probably Percy Jackson. Because the books are from a first person perspective and the way he describes things and his attitudes toward some people/creatures is hysterical.
This is my personal favourite:
“A demigod!" one snarled. "Eat it!" yelled another. But that's as far as they got before I slashed a wide arc with Riptide and vaporized the entire front row of monsters. "Back off!" I yelled at the rest, trying to sound fierce. Behind them stood their instructor--a six-foot tall telekhine with Doberman fangs snarling at me. I did my best to stare him down.
"New lesson, class," I announced. "Most monsters will vaporize when sliced with a celestial bronze sword. This change is completely normal, and will happen to you right now if you don't BACK OFF!" To my surprise, it worked. The monsters backed off, but there was at least twenty of them. My fear factor wasn't going to last that long. I jumped out of the cart, yelled, "CLASS DISMISSED!" and ran for the exit.”
See what I mean. :)

6. What is your favorite soundtrack?
I ADORE soundtracks. Probably the one I currently really, really love is the soundtrack from The Last Samurai. It is a soundtrack which is very easy to just fade into and lose track of where you are up to but it it also very nice. Plus it runs for about an hour and is perfect for listening to when doing an hour-long subject. I also enjoy listening to it while writing. Great mood music.

7. Do you like to reread/rewatch things?
Yes, sometimes I over re-read things. And then they get dull. Then they go to the back of my book case so that next time I get them out they'll be as interesting as they used to be. As to re-watching things. Yes, as long as I'm in the mood. I've been wanting to re-watch LOTR for a while now. The problem is no one else has been that interested in the idea.

8. What character inspires you the most?
I don't know. At the moment I'd say a very inspiring character is Peeta Mallerk from The Hunger Games. Or it might just be that I am currently very much liking him...like a lot. He is definitely up on my Heroes list. He is amazing. :)

9. What is a smaller or lesser-known fandom you think is great? The Fairy-Tale novels! They are amazing re-tellings of fairy tales set in modern days by Regina Doman. Fish is amazing too.

10. What movies are you still looking forward to this year?
There are only a few but here goes: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, The Hunger Games: Mockinjay part one, and Night at the Museum three.

The tagging part:
Honestly I just wanted to answer the questions mostly and seriously I'm feeling lazy and really don't want to tag anyone or make ten questions. Yep, lazy me. :)

A Slice of Cupcake (I'm not even sure that's possible).

So you remember that update blog post I was going to do? Well here it is. Random bits of random stuff.

On Wednesday after Mum and I dropped Eden off for her exams we went and did some shopping. But not just any shopping. One of our very good friends' birthday parties is next month. It's a Disney dress-up party and you have to dress up as someone from a Disney movie.

See?
I thought for ages that I'd loved to come as Maid Marian from the Disney version of Robin Hood. All time favourite movie when I was little as well. But the thing is, to get an outfit like hers would mean lots of lollie and probably too much stress to like the idea.
And then about the start of this month it hit me. Marvel is owned by Disney. *hint hint nudge nudge* and so I decided I would come as one of the main girls from one of them. Now, guess who I have decided on.

Nuh. Not Pepper Potts.
Nuh. Not Jane Foster.
Nuh. Not Natasha Romanoff.

Drum roll please....Peggy Carter!

And her outfit was surprisingly easy to get! I have a skirt that needs to be modified a bit, a leather jacket, shoes, and I need a belt for around my waist and a gun. This young lady http://www.bramblewoodfashion.com/2013/01/achieving-peggy-carters-look-from.html has done a nice video on how to do her make-up and hair and that is what I'll use for my base.

Saxon and Eden have also been invited. Eden is coming as Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (one of the scariest Disney movies I ever did see!) and Saxon is going to come as Walt Disney. :D
I'm really excited!

After we finished clothes shopping me and Mum went to a cafe/coffee shop and had scones and a muffin and hot drinks. I had a Chai latte and it tasted delicious!
Just look at it. Doesn't it look delicous.
I also was able just to talk to Mum about something I had had on my mind and it was just nice for the two of us to have to one-on-one time.

Mum and I have been doing Trim Healthy Mama. It's basically a healthier way of eating that actually works and helps with weight loss! Both Mummy and I have already lost weight and it's so easy and I really love it! To find out more about it: http://www.trimhealthymama.com/. That being said, when we went to the cafe we went off plan :O

I've been reading a few different books. I finished the Hound of the Baskervilles the other day. It was very enjoyable but I found that at some points I was rather freaked out! I read the last sixty pages (or something like that) in under 24 hours. I was rather proud of myself. :)

I finished listening to The Hunger Games after unsuccessfully trying to find the book. I'm now starting to read Catching Fire. I think I like Peeta better than Gale but then he has had more 'screen time'.

The younger kids are watching Prince Caspian while I write this. Do you realise that it is six years old now?
Humor

Watching things like Narnia or Star Wars bring back so many memories for me. And realising how much I love them, too. I think once we've finished watching Star Wars together (we've got the Original trilogy left) we should do Narnia. And can I say just how much I love Edmund in Prince Caspian? And Lucy, of course. And Trumpkin.
(The Chronicles of Narnia)

Is anyone else on Goodreads? I've been using it recently. Here is the link to my page: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/7470968-vellvin

Hopefully I'll be able to post my MQQ in a few days. Ciao!

The Sunshine Award. (That is such an interesting title...not).

So a while back and I seriously mean a 'while' back. Lizzie over at Castle in the Air nominated me for The Sunshine Award. Honestly I don't get awards very often but I was very pleased with this unexpected surprise. :) Also I know I haven't been blogging very much. I've just been so very, very busy.
Rules:
* Thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog.
* Answer the questions they asked you.
* Nominate other bloggers.
* Give them a list of questions.
* Let them know that they have been nominated.
* The Sunshine Award button must be on your blog post.
Lizzie
I nominate:
Lizzie's Questions:
If you could pick a country to visit for a full month, where would it be?
Hmm, a full month? Well, it would have to be a place where I wouldn't get bored...so I'll say Great Britain. *smirks* That means I cover England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Also, it is understood that my entire family comes along too. And the someone else pays for the entire trip. :P

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Probably chocolate. I like to try new flavours but chocolate is standard and if you choose chocolate you can't go wrong. :D
Drool
What is you favorite day of the week?
Sunday! Especially the afternoon! After that comes Friday. :)
If you had to pick only one song to listen to for a week what would it be?
What is your favorite little kid show?
Duck tales, probably. The theme song is the best thing about it. :D

How many times a day do you brush your teeth?
Two times every day. Or at least I try to, sometimes it's only one or none. :O
Who is your favorite blogger?
That's a difficult question. Probably my two favourite bloggers who I read frequently are Arda and Jamie over at In Western Lands and Through Two Blue Eyes. I don't like these questions very much though because they seem to be a bit too personal. Take note that these aren't the only blogs that I read and comment on. :)
Morning, afternoon, or night?
As in my favourite time of day? I like the transaction from afternoon to evening, twilight. Yes, that is my favourtie time of day.
What is one thing you would want to collect?
Books!! I already have a bit of a collection but in my own words 'There is no such thing as too many books!' Concur?

Fave fruit?
Ohh, Definitely grapes! After that probably bananas or apples. But grapes I could eat each and every day.

Nominate bloggers. Here are my picks:
Jamie at Through Two Blue Eyes
Arda at In Western Lands
Princess at The Aussie Princess
Kim at The Princess Inside
Benjamin at Flashes of Inspiration

My Questions:
1. What is your favourite thing about blogging?

2. What type of music do you enjoy listening to? i.e. pop, rock, electronic ect.

3. Best line from The Princess Bride? (I'm assuming you've all seen it)

4. Are you more of a reader or a watcher. Books vs. Movies?

5. If you could meet up with one of your favourtie characters from a book you've read who would it be?

6. Marvelite or Ringer?

7. On average how much quoting do you use on a day to day basis? i.e. quotes from movies that just fit the situation.

And that's all. I've got an X-Men: Days of Future Past review in my drafts. An update on life and a post on the music and things that I like to listen to.
Goodnight and Auf Wiedersehen!

God Bless

May Movie Quote Quiz Results....

I'm sorry this is late. Like really late. I should have posted it on Saturday but we were slaughtering our two lambs. Sunday after we finished folding up we had a surprise call from Dad saying that he had invited some friends of ours to come over. Incoming panic and trying to get the house tidy.
Hurry up and clean the house! We don't want people to think we actually live the way we actually live!
Yep, this picture so true. :)
Monday was busy: Saxon had finally fixed up 'Battle for Middle Earth II' so that we could play it on multiplayer. Note: One of the best computer games ever!
Tuesday even busier: We did school went to Latin Mass at lunch time and after that went to our Catechism lesson. We go pretty much every Tuesday. :) After that we had to go shopping, get fish and chips for dinner and had really tired little kids. But wait, there's more. After we got home Rogan and I had dinner and then had to go out and do the animals in twice. While we had been doing that Mum had gotten the little kids to help clean up dinner and the kitchen and they were going off to bed. Dad and Eden and Saxon had gone to a talk and I basically curled up in my bed reading 'The Spear' and listening to Brandon Heath.

So in other words I've been very busy. And here finally and with big heap time apologies here are the results:

1. "Before we get started, does anyone want to get out?"
Movie: Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Character talking: Captain America
People who got it right: *Rogan* *Princess* *Benjamin*
This bit!
2. "My dear chap, I never would have dreamt of depriving you of your moment of triumph. Alas, a moment was all I could spare."
Movie: The Scarlet Pimpernel. Character talking: Sir Percival Blakeney.
People who got it right: Rogan, *Benjamin*

3. "Why do you need a tree? It just... sticks out of the ground and it does what? I don't even know what it does. Come on, honey, dance with the tree." "Oh, it hurts, mom. Please stop."
Movie: The Lorax. Characters talking: Ted and Ted's Mum.
People who got it right: *Anna* *Princess* *Rogan*

4. "Your blood pressure, Mr. . Your wife told me to tell you to watch the anger." "YOU TELL MY WIFE............Thank you. Continue." "Time to take your pill. Not that one. Not that one. Drink plenty of water."
Movie: Spiderman 3. Characters talking: Miss Brant and Mr. Jameson.

People who got it right: No one. You guys have no idea how much I enjoyed putting this one in, that part in the movie is so funny! :)

5. "I told you, I don't like to be manhandled!" "No, I will manhandle you, Jedediah! Now listen, guys, what is your problem, huh? Why can't you just get along?" "Look, we're men. We fight, okay? That's what we do!" "It's kinda how we pass the time."
Movie: Night at the Museum. Characters talking: Jedediah, Larry and Octavius.
People who got it right: *Rogan* *Princess*

6. "Ramona, your sister has a report card. Doesn't that mean you should have one too?" "Uh... No."
Movie: Ramona and Beezus. Characters talking: Ramona's Dad and Ramona.
People who got it right: *Rogan* *Anna*

7. "O? No, I call ladies 'O.' To me O is feminine, and K is masculine. You know, I see a couple, I'm like, 'O-K.' "
Movie: MIB III Character talking: Agent J.
People who got it right: *Rogan*

8. "I am a nice shark, not a mindless eating machine. If I am to change this image, I must first change myself. Fish are friends, not food."
Movie: Finding Nemo. Characters talking: Anchor Chum and Bruce! Now, this was a little difficult ebcause most people said Bruce true, he does say it, so I'll count it as a point for all of you. :)
People who got it right:  *Rogan* *Princess* *Benjamin* *Sophia Moon*

9. "Your Highness, there's your opening if you'll take my advice..." "Lord Melbourne, forgive me but you seem to have confused me with a member of your club. I am not your drinking companion nor your whist partner. I am the husband of your sovereign. And as such, I will make my own decisions, and I neither seek nor invite your advice. Good evening."
Movie: The Young Victoria. Characters talking: Lord Melbourne and Prince Albert. This is a great movie and this bit always makes me grin because Melbourne gets put in his place so skillfully by Albert. :) Love this movie!
People who got it right: *Rogan*.

10. "Day 11, Test 37, Configuration 2.0. For lack of a better option, Dummy is still on fire safety. If you douse me again, and I'm not on fire, I'm donating you to a city college. Seriously, we're just gonna start off with 1% thrust capacity. And three... two... one. Please don't follow me around with it either because I feel like I'm going to catch on fire spontaneously. Just stand down. If something happens, then come in."
Movie: Iron Man. People who got it right: *Benjamin* *Rogan*

The end results:
Rogan: 17
Benjamin: 8
Princess: 8
Anna: 4
Sophia Moon: 2.

And my little brother is the winner! That was really fun! Thank you to everyone who particaptaed! It was very enjoyable! :D

I think I'm officially X-Mened

So early this year I watched the first and second X-Men's. They are my sister Autumn's official number one 'super hero' movies. Although they are really quite different from any other super hero movies, and if I was classing them, I'd say that they were mutant movies, but that doesn't make much sense unless you've actually seen them.
Anyway, as most X-men fans know, X-Men: Days of Future Past is coming out in a few days at the movies. Some friends want to go and see it with us. The same who came to see Captain America: Winter Soldier with us. Also, I've pretty much dumped that blog post as it is now a while since I've seen it. Maybe I'll review when ti comes out on DVD or something. Rabbit trail.
Anyway so going to see that means that I need to watch the other X-Men movies for it to make any sense. So on Friday night we sat down to watch X-Men: First Class. Now, before watching this movie I thought X-Men were okay, but that the franchise was not one that was really going to 'click' with me. Boy was I wrong!

X-Men: FS has got to be the best out of the four I have seen. It was so good! I loved all of it. It also had great back-story and really set up the other X-Men movies and explains some of the people and their stories. Most notably, Charles Xaiver, Erick Lensherr, and Mystique. My personal favourtie character was, wait for it: Professor X. Okay, I just loved him! He was so cool! I had hear the line 'It's a mutation, it's actually a very groovy mutation many times before. And then I finally heard it on the movie! We quote it better though. :) Magneto had an interesting story-line, but I didn't really connect with him. Mystique was good until, mmm, probably the middle.
The finale and ending were also really good! I can't really take Professor X's line seriously though: 'I can't feel my legs!' Because this is all I can think of:

Obviously Frozen has rubbed off on me good. :) But it was kind of sad because you know that he is just stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
We watched The Last Stand last night, and frankly, I didn't think much of it. Yes, it might set it up for the DOFP but it doesn't mean that I'll be in a hurry to watch it again.
So you could say that I've been x-trenmly busy watching x-tra cool movies. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Now all I've got to do is wait for that trip to the movies, and maybe, who knows, I could fit int eh two Wolverine movies before then. :D
And it is time for me to go to bed! Good night!

God Bless

Seriously, we're just gonna start off with 1% thrust capacity. And three... two... one. Please don't follow me around with it either because I feel like I'm going to catch on fire spontaneously. Just stand down. If something happens, then come in."

It ends 24th of May, have fun! :)

God Bless
